Aloha & Welcome

Tucked inside Aiea is this small Pre-K to Grade 8 school with a big curriculum devoted to the life-long learning of the whole child in a changing world. Guided by the Lutheran Church’s educational emphasis, Our Savior strives for academic quality and individual student achievement.

Care and support for each other comes naturally in Our Savior’s ohana-style environment for students, teachers and staff. Its school-wide integrated Core Knowledge curriculum and the Spalding Phonics, Saxon Math, and Shurley Grammar in grades K-8 have helped students consistently place in the national SAT-10’s top quartile. Student interests develop through strong programs in music, Japanese, Spanish, computer instruction, and the core subjects.

We believe students must gain a basic knowledge to reach higher goals, as well as learn to be responsible and to practice integrity in their learning, actions, and attitudes.  Most importantly, they need to live in a caring community, blessed by God and enjoying His world.
