The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. OSLS is able to provide our youngest learners with meals with assistance from the Child and Adult Care Food program. The CACF is is a federally funded USDA program that provides reimbursements to eligible child and adult care facilities for serving nutritious meals and snacks. Participating facilities improve dietary quality and offset food costs, which helps keep child care more affordable for families.
